Who are the break glass in case of emergency people? Those people aren't standing around waiting to be noticed or selected. They are already living it.
We may not have them in the media scope yet, but they are out there. Let the politicians keep themselves occupied making busy work. It keeps them out of the way of the real people who are learning how to live, adapt and innovate.

He was meant to be working with others to revise the Articles of Confederation for governing the U.S. What took place instead? The Constitution. They created a new form of government. Those assembled wanted to censure them for exceeding their authority. C'mon folks, if you are too old, fearful, angry or set in your ways to remember how civilizations adapt and evolve, there are those who are not.
I don't think it's that they like to stay fat, but there is definitely a wall there preventing them from seeing their own potential. (In a general sense. Not every case is so black and white.)
