This entire segment is a great example of when someone CAN’T admit they have bad views on things because it’s so ingrained in them OR their side’s argument relies on them not changing their views. Dan, when countered by Joe, just can’t admit Joe is right about these things. He HAS to stick with his side’s game plan.
Insurance is part of the problem with medical costs. Nobody knows what it cost to go to their doctor because insurance will cover it. Nobody is shopping medical prices. They are only shopping for the service. It would be like going to different car dealerships, not looking at the price of the vehicles, but only at the friendliness of the sales people.
at 10:00 he's squirming to justify his argument. The analogy of the military to population is…wanting.
This guy is so transparently full of s**t, it hurts to watch.
