He's basically saying that Americans are too dumb to follow rules lol.
Crenshaw is a liar. He conflates socialism with social programs which are two entirely different things. No one is talking about making the United States a full on socialist society, the left is talking about more social programs. We already have several highly successful social programs from Medicare, Medicaid, Social Security to the Fire Department, Police Departments, USPS, Highway and Road Crews which differ by name state to state.
Medicare for All is a social program that is completely feaseable it is a program that would actually save $4T dollars over the next 10yrs as it would cost $32 Trillion where as private health care will cost us $36 Trillion Dollars, and it would stop drug companies from absolutely price gouging the private citizen. Right now the average family pays anywhere between $800-$1000 dollars per month on private health care, an individual pays around $200-$300 per month. With medicare for all you pay for it through Taxes, your taxs would go up to pay for medicare however you would no longer have giant medical bills, co-pays or have to pay exorbatant amounts for drug at the pharmacy either. Health insurance would all of the sudden be much cheaper for the average middle class American citizen. The Left is also talking about holding corporations accountable for more paid sick leave, pregnancy leave for expecting mothers and fathers, more unemployment insurance and disability benefits perhaps taxing wallstreet to pay for this kinda of stuff which Wall-Street pays for nothing yet comes with it's hand out and gets bailed out by the tax payer into the trillions of dollars while contributing nothing . Again Wall-Street is getting bailed out to the trillions thanks to COVID-19 while the taxpayer is getting a one time payment of literal crumbs, the left overs.
No one is talking about a full communist take over of America which right wing corporatist tools like Crenshaw would have you believe. They're talking about more help for the little guy, more social safety nets and making the rich pay more in tax's which the right wing screams COMMUNISM & VENEZUELA at the top of their lungs every time it's brought up when they know full well these are programs that should be in place that are nothing like full on socialism or communism. Right now the rich get everything , pay nothing in taxs and make sure the lil guy in the American Tax Payer foots the bill for it , which we are doing again to the tune of $4 trillion in bailouts for corporations. It is time for the little guy to get a break and for the rich and corporations to pay their fair share and carry their own weight.

It would be nice if Crenshaw was intellectually honest enough to admit that when Trump came out saying that covid-19 would be down from 15 cases to 0 in a few days and then switched to it going away in April contributed to a lack of preparation.
