Q: How long is a biblical generation and when does that generation start?
1st A) 120 yrs ~ (Gen. 6:3) “My spirit shall not always strive with man, …yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years”
120 years ago in 1897 the First Zionist Congress was held,
2nd A) 100 yrs. (Genesis 15:13 &16) "13…they shall afflict them four hundred years; & 16 But in the fourth generation they shall come hither again…" 100 years ago in 1917 the Balfour Declaration paved the way for the Jews to return to their homeland,
3rd A) 70 yrs. (Psalm 90:10) "…The days of our years are threescore years and ten;" 70 years ago in Nov.1947 the UN voted to create the state of Israel.
4th A) Avg. 52 yrs. (the average of the genealogies of the Gospels of Luke & Matthew) 50 years ago in Jubilee year 1967, Jerusalem was regained by it's Jewish owners.
Jesus said the generation that sees the fig tree budding~ Israel reborn~ will see the end times…(Luke 21:29)
Jesus rebuked the religious leaders of his day for NOT discerning the Signs of the time. Mankind seem only to stay God's judgment for about 2000 years and then sin bottoms out. From Adam till the flood was a 2000 year span then from Abraham to Christ (the crucifixion averted the world from universal judgment (for Christ told Peter he could call 12 legions of angles or 72,000). But Christ went to the cross for the spiritual and literal judgment to be put on Him. This again was at the end of 2000 years.
So now we find ourselves at the end of 40 jubilee cycles or 40×50 = 2000 years and here comes the Rev 12 sign the only thing to avoid being part of the next judgment , or Day of the Lord is the Rapture.
