So we just plead ignorance ? Don’t understand. Do agree media needs to do a better job of being for the American ppl rather than pushing a narrative.
The president leads. It’s not up to the media to inform our government. We lead with our intelligence findings ( intelligence community that he has disparaged). Did MAGA know how lethal the virus was? Did he care ?

Fauci said this about the Coronavirus:
"this is not a major threat to the people of the United States and this is not something that the citizens of the United States right now should be worried about."
Feb 17
Fauci said that the danger to the country (from the Coronavirus) was "just miniscule". He said people should be more worried about the annual flu.

Dan Crenshaw seems to a be a decent man, that's why it's so cringe worthy to see him contort like that to try either preserve his image or his conscience. Yes, lots of people didn't take the Corona Virus seriously enough initially, me included, but most of us don't have at our disposal the intelligence agencies and other departments of the US government to collect and present relevant information to us, which they did as early as January.
And stop blaming the chinese. I have no illusions about the PRC, it's propaganda and censure, but the truth is that though they might still keep details that would be useful to epidemiologist, they let the information that was most important out, about the high contagiousness of this virus, the pneumonias, they didn't hid they were going into lockdown, nor did, even if if they did suppress videos, completely clamp down on the information of what was happening in Wuhan hospitals, of how the health system went into collapse and that's when the deaths skyrocket.
We just didn't pay attention because it was far away and it was the chinese, which is as good an indicator as any of the racism involved in all this.
Guess what, when someone gives you the relevant information, even if not all the details, and you didn't pay attention to it, it's your fault, not theirs.
But event if we discount the initial reaction to this Virus anybody with half a brain has known how serious it was since the reports of the collapse of the italian health system, with them having to choose which patients to die, and that's the beginning of March. Trump has downplayed the situation and not acted has he needed to for a long time after that, so even if he gets a pass for paying any attention to the briefings he got, he's done enough s#$t after that to deserve condemnation.
Finally Dan, I understand your dilemma, but stop trying to convince people that the sky is orange with pink polka dots, we can see it's blue, and the cognitive dissonance of you saying otherwise is just migraine inducing.
