Lex and Weinstein are both too smart to actually think intelligence agencies had no idea he was up to with the pedo stuff. That is just the coldest take imaginable. The idea that he was doing that stuff FOR an intelligence agency (likely Mossad) for the express purpose of blackmailing elites by recording them fooling around with minors makes FAR more sense.
