  1. First all The entire |Hebrew scriptures pointed to Christ, they are a "A shadow of the good things to come" ( Heb 10:1) Thus the 'Passover lamb' that was slaughtered and eaten was a 'shadow' as Paul said "Christ our passover has been sacrificed" ( 1 Cor 5:7) Jut as the 'lamb' died and was consumed, so with the Christ he "poured out his very soul unto death" ( Isa 53:12 & Matt 20:28) Thus Jesus body died and was buried. The Father disposed of it. He was "Put to death in the flesh & made alive in the spirit" 1 Peter 3:18. This was called the 'ransom sacrifice' for our sins! paid by Jesus body & blood "which is to be GIVEN on your behalf" as Jesus said. How then could he take it back? Then we would still be "dead in our sins"! He is now a glorious SPIRIT!

  2. If we believe Christ's own words he said "This my body & this is my blood" at the last supper, "which is GIVEN in your behalf". If he took BACK that same human body with its blood in its veins that that would contradict Jesus words! He also said "The Son of man came not to be ministered to but to minister and to give his SOUL ( the orginal greek here is 'phsyke') in exchange for many" ( Matt 20:28. So the appearances of Jesus After his resurrection "In the spirit" ( 1 Peter 3:18) were MATERIALISATIONS like the ones on Abreham's day, angels that could actually 'eat food' e.t.c ( Gen 18:1-22). proof shown that Mary failed to recongnise Jesus though she stood right next to him! The two travellers to Emmasus walked with Jesus and did not recognise him ( 7 miles!). Finally the disciples failed also to know it was Jesus by the shore of Galilee till the miracle of the fish!. All showing it was NOT the same 'body'. But what about Thomas you may say in Luke 24;39? Note Jesus did not say he was "Flesh & BLOOD" but only "flesh & bones" which the 3 man who visited Abremam had."The life is in the SOUL" says the scriptures" Jesus "Poured out his very SOUL unto death" ( Isa 53:12 ). His human 'soul' was offered once for all of us 'a soul for a soul'. Adam's sin was now redeemed! Thus it was in the SPIRIT that Jesus returned to heavan where he sits in the majesty of heavenly glory no more a "Little lower that the angels". Heb2:7
