The Shining is terrible example, Shermer. The main actress had a mental breakdown during shooting and developed schizophrenia. Also the set burned down. But … I take your larger point. Shout out to the series that he’s taking about. It’s called Cursed Films and it’s on Shudder. It explores a bunch of supposedly cursed films in a very fun way, speaking to cast, crew, believers, and skeptics. The movies covered are Poltergeist, The Exorcist, The Crow, The Omen, and Twilight Zone the Movie. It’s really fucking good. Shermer is great in it. I bet Joe would love it. We had the director on my podcast, just called Horror Movie Podcast. Episode 195. He’s a great interview and and experienced podcaster, Joe. You’d like him. He’d be a great guest. He started the longest running film podcast on the internet, Film Junk. He also did a documentary on time travel called How to Build a Time Machine and a film about a Canadian public access proto-Johnny Knoxville called Beauty Day. And as long as I’ve come this far. Just don`t talk about a topic you haven't really looked into and use the stupid stuff uninformed people say to excuse dismissing the topic and not do the research!
