  1. Samson allowed himself to fall in love with the Philistine woman, Delilah (which he should have not done, see Deut 7:3, 4, in which an Israelite was NOT to form a marriage alliance with any person of the surrounding nations), an unscrupulous woman who loved the "money" that the five Philistine axis lords gave her, of 1,100 silver pieces each, to get her to seduce (or break) Samson into revealing the secret of his strength.(Judges 16:4-17)

In a previous engagement to a Philistine woman, it is of interest that this one "was from Jehovah" (Judges 14:1-4; God's name, see Isa 12:2, KJV), for verse 4 says that "He (Jehovah, NOT Samson) was looking for an opportunity against the Philistines, as the Philistines were ruling over Israel at that time".(New World Translation)

Samson allowed his "treacherous heart" to take over, so that he fell in love with Delilah, instead of using this as "an opportunity against the Philistines".(see Jer 17:9, that says "the heart is more treacherous than anything else. Who can know it ?")

Another example is that of David, who allowed his treacherous heart to take over him when he saw Bathsheba bathing (naked) from his palace rooftop (which Bathsheba should NOT have been bathing outside, knowing that it was possible for others to see her), so that sexual desire overtook him (though having more than six wives as well as ten concubines, 2 Sam 3:2-5; 11:26-27; 16:21, 22) and had her brought to his house, whereby he seduced her into having sexual relations and she became pregnant.(2 Sam 11:1-5)

Because David showed gross disregard for Jehovah's righteous laws, looking "lustfully" at another woman that he had no right to (see Matt 5:27-30), Nathan the prophet, after giving an illustration of a poor man's lamb being taken by a rich man as a meal for a visiting guest, so that David became angry at the "rich man" in the illustration, Nathan said: "You are the ("rich man", the guilty) man ! This is what Jehovah the God of Israel says: ‘I myself anointed you as king over Israel, and I rescued you from the hand of Saul. I was willing to give you your master’s house (or the throne over Israel, as King Saul had) and put your master’s wives in your arms, and I gave you the house of Israel and of Judah."

"And as if that were not enough, I was willing to do much more for you. Why did you despise the word of Jehovah by doing what is bad in his eyes ? You struck down U·riʹah the Hitʹtite with the sword ! Then you took his wife as your wife after you killed him by the sword of the Amʹmon·ites. Now a sword will never depart from your own house, because you despised me by taking the wife of U·riʹah the Hitʹtite as your wife.’ "(2 Sam 12:7-10)

Then, David's son Solomon, though being given extraordinary "wisdom and discernment in a very great measure and broadness of heart" by Jehovah God (1 Kings 4:29), able to see "the core of an issue", such as with the two prostitute women who came before him when one of the prostitutes killed her newborn son by suffocating him when she lay on him and took the other prostitute's son (who was also born at about the same time, for both lived in the same house).

Without a DNA analysis, it could not be determined who the real mother was, so that Solomon told his servants to bring a sword and cut the child in two, and give half to each prostitute. This immediately caused a reaction in the real child's mother, so that she pleaded with Solomon to not cut the child in half, but give it to the other prostitute and let it live, so that Solomon's godly "wisdom" from Jehovah gave him the insight needed to find out who was real mother of the newborn child.(1 Kings 3:16-28)

However, Solomon, before four years of his reign had passed (reigned 1037-998 B.C.E.), married the daughter of Pharaoh.(1 Kings 4:1) And over the next 36 years, he married some 700 women and had 300 concubines, women who were Ammonite, Moabite, Sidonite, so that he began offering sacrifices to their false gods (1 Kings 11:3-8), women of the surrounding nations that Jehovah had instructed his people NOT to marry.(Deut 7:3, 4; see Neh 13:23-27, in which Nehemiah saw Israelite men who had married "Ashdodite, Ammonite, and Moabite women", becoming very angry at these men, even relating what Solomon had done)

Thus, true Christians are to marry "only in the Lord" (1 Cor 7:39), a man or woman that loves Jehovah God, so that ' Jehovah's anger may not blaze against you '.(see Deut 6:5; 7:4)

  2. You left out the Apostle Paul. God told him not to go to Jerusalem but he went anyway. That's called disobedience.

Acts 22:4 – And finding disciples, we tarried there seven days: who said to Paul through the Spirit, that he should not go up to Jerusalem.

    If not, why not?

  3. Samson , so strong but no brain , Having so many beautiful women in Israel u gave ur heart to a Philistine , then she shows her intentions to harm u , and u still trusted her , I am a Jewish cuban , I would have told her : Vete Pa La Pin—ga loca ! Don't lose ur mind ever for a woman ! Solomon , U should have burned ur 1000 women's idols , Our Father would be proud of u , still to this day, Te faltó cojo-nes
