Is the new moon the first visible crescent or the empty moon? How was it handled in the biblical times? Remember, up above is one big “clock”. Never forget Genesis 1:14 in which the sun moon and stars shall be for SIGNS and for SEASONS (appointed times) and for DAYS and YEARS 🙂

Technically,we saw the moon on the 21st,albeit in silhouette fashion,backlit by the sun.
I know,that doesn't "count" in rabbinical tradition lol.

Torah calendar is very good, you can cross check with the full moon. The moon calendar is the only calendar the man cannot change.
I have to admit I'm a bit confused. The eclipse is exactly 40 days from Yom Kippur, and 7 days prior will be the Rev12 Sign. But Elul 1 was not until two days later and I thought that there were always 40 days from Elul1 to Tishri10 (Yom Kippur). Love you brother, you're a very dedicated shepherd.
