Bipolar mania on extreme ends has this effect as well. No drugs needed. Berserkers were based on bipolar and ptsd combinations creating super warriors. Child abuse in any time is horrific but was everywhere in ancient times and is key to warrior elite. I am 5'9 185lbs ripped and if in berserker rage will crush any fighter alive and taller fighters have weakness vs stalky aggressive fighters because shorter reach is better in aggressive close punching and wrestling wont work well. This guy was a small amateur so imagine if smith fought a muscular angry fearless manic individual immune to pain. He would of died in the first 30 seconds. Bipolar is where the legends of werewolves came from and Celticgermanic peoples have high population of bipolar genes proving this. UFC is a sport and people forget being able to fight well on TV with rules is not real combat.
