  1. So, the CIA wanted to wipe out the hippie / left wing movement by staging these murders to turn popular opinion against them? They did such a good job that those people who are still living & their progeny run the government now. 2. I never believed the 'Helter Skelter' nonsense for a moment. An attorney's job is to win their case. By hook or by 'crook'. Manson as a manipulative overload of his minion underlings is just utterly ridiculous. They were a very intelligent group of people. Drugs of any recreational persuasion DON'T turn you into a psychotic killer. Manson never knew what they'd do. Nor could he. In either of the crimes. It makes for a lovely, gruesome piece of lore. And the crimes didn't end the blissful Summer of Love, either. The Vietnam War, racism, sexism and crimes in general were already in full swing. Manson himself said that we create the world we want and we surely, undoubtedly have in the Tate 'narrative'. Sleep well, my fellow chums

  3. I'm guessing the motive was a gripe over a record deal. Melcher, a record producer, didn't think Manson was that good. Perhaps it was a response to rejection. Denis Wilson was the one that put Manson's demo in front of Terry Melcher.

  4. But we're supposed to believe that Manson didn't hide in the bushes and watched everything that happened? He was there because he was a sociopathic egomaniac with a god complex. He doped up his stupid followers who worshipped a dirty little ex-con as a fake savior, whipped them up into a drugged frenzy, unleashed them on the Tate house, and then watched his nasty handiwork unfold in a hidden orgasmic degeneracy. Polanski had also met Manson before the murders, but that's not at all suspicious, is it?
