In Australia we have a system that's a mix between free and subsidised health care.
We have a very robust health care system with some of the best doctors and health workers in the world.
The best part is, it's completely affordable.
The argument that the wealthiest nation in the world can't afford it is insanely ridiculous.
If you have a life threatening condition you basically have to pay to stay alive. Dont know how anyone can support a system with that in mind.
I don’t know why this is still a debate in the US. Every other developed nation on earth has universal healthcare. It works. It’s not communism.
I live in Canada. Our economy is hurting just like everywhere else. People are struggling to make rent and mortgage payments. Nobody is wondering how much it will cost them if they catch covid. That isn’t even an option. It’s just covered, plain and simple.
The biggest problem in healthcare is lack of price transparency. Throwing more money into the system without fixing the price transparency issue is just money wasted
Ppl keep “saying we didn’t see this coming” but we did right?
