You lost me with the misinterpretation of James. What you said by 1:25 in inherently contradicts Romans 4:2-8. What you are saying, is that salvation is by faith AND works, which is not biblical at all. We are saved by Grace THROUGH faith; yet grace and works do not mix (Romans 11:6).
James isn't even talking about salvation unto eternal life or justification to God. The context of the letter is about practical Christian witness in service to God, as James 2:1-12 illustrates. What is said in verses 13-26 continues that thought, using references to Abraham's justification TO MEN in witness to his faith (Hebrews 11:2 reiterates this idea). Rahab was saved from the destruction of Jericho by her helping the Hebrew scouts. The demons believe that there is one God , and a body without a spirit is still a genuine body, not a false one, so faith without works is still genuine faith, it is only lifeless and repulsive to those who witness it.

What you are saying is that you must insert your own work into your salvation (by following the Law), because simply believing that Christ saved you isn't enough. That isn't salvation, that's death.

Amen brother once we are saved turn to Christ believe in Christ turn away from sin and let the old die ! None of us can never sin but when we are saved through Christ's love and the holy spirit let it guide us in the right direction with continued personal prayer daily !
