Street Preacher and church evangelist Joe Kirby has compiled together a video of the different styles of open air preaching. The video features the official street preacheres and Ruben Israel at the gay pride festival Houston TX (unrecommended style to emulate). The next method to follow is the George Whitfield Bible in the air style with Pastor Paul from Stockport Evangelical Church and Jeff Rose from Jeremiah Cry Ministries.
The third method is Sketchboard evangelism style which is used by the Open Air Campaigners the Open air preacher is Mike Stockwell.
Probably the most hotly debated method is the Christian Apologetics style as many Christians believe you should preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ only as Philosophical arguments don’t save and whilst I would say let’s keep the main thing the main thing! I do think there is a place for reasoning with atheists and skeptics but in a way very similar to Cliffe Knechtle from Give me an answer who constanyly refers to the Saviour throughout his public speaking.
The fifth method is the how to draw a crowd method with ray comfort and mark spence from the way of the master preaching with a strait jacket on. Following him is Navy seal Chad Williams interacting with a heckler at Huntington Beach.
The final method is the one I use the most the united Beach mission (UBM) method with Vinny Commons preaching followed by myself (Joe Kirby).
