I haven’t heard what he said yet but I think it’s because people want to feel prepared for a crisis but not actually do what a real crisis entails. Buying toilet paper is the purchase that requires the least effort and prevents the one inconvenience people actually believe could happen, which is not being able to wipe their ass comfortably.
Never really seen much/any of Tom Greens movies or whatever, but judging by this interview he seems like a pretty cool guy
