I am forever thankful and one difference between us Southwestern Asian vs. others is we don’t cry and complain. If you visit cities like Los Angeles or Houston, there’s statues of American soldiers carrying a wounded child/woman and the American flag next to the previous three striped Viet flag that represents freedom, not that communist star flag of today. That’s how much we appreciate our soldiers.
These lazy woke kids of today make us look bad. I am a first born generation of parents that were refugees from the Vietnam war. My grandfather fought alongside the south with the help of Americans. I forever have this guilt-feeling when I see someone wearing a Vietnam Veteran hat; I always salute and thank them. Almost 60k American lives lost and the communist still conquered.

There are huge differences between ww2 and Vietnam. I have a lot of respect for Vietnam vets. Their lives were ruined for no reason
