It really depends on how the Spirit leads you. Remember it may be YOU that's doing the preaching, but its HIM that opens the heart. You may have the best illustrations , the most engaging sermons and maybe nobody receives the word. Or maybe everyone who walks by receive it, are convicted, repents, believes and are saved. You don't know.
Having said that, if you're going with the second approach it's best to have you conversations 1 on 1. Perhaps have two soap boxes and you stand on 1 and an onlooker stands on the other. You've seen Ray Comfort do this. Or use a mic (if you're permitted), like Friel or David Lynch. Another thing most of the Paul Washer sermons posted (on your channel and others) are of him preaching to the church rather than straight unbelievers. Unfortunately, there's not much of a difference these days😞
AFTER you have spent hours on your knees the Holy Spirit will have you spesk the way He would have you speak. He may even have you flip some tables and whip some people.
Paul said: " for me I preach Christ crucified" read Peter's sermons in Acts…skip the nonsense and preach the gospel of Christ as it is the power unto salvation to all who believe. We don't need more tactics we need more truth.
The best is the faithful one. Not public on street corner. Not preaching hell a damnation. The best way is one on one sinser love reach one at a time and do it as God sets it up. If you preach in public you may reach some but that doesn't mean they will except. But just telling someone in love how much CHRIST has done in your life. Give them the gospel from the heart one at a time. Preaching on street corner ask your self am I doing this out of love? Or out of my own prideful way trying to show people how much I know and how much they don't. Its not about how many hear you but how many will hear CHRIST. Don't you agree?
