Joe just a side note. Try to make someone in the crowd part of a relevant example of a story in the Bible. Try to use a kid to be a volunteer in possibly doing a short skit but make sure to ask the parents if it would be okay. Bringing people from the crowd helps bring more people to be part of God's plan. Instead of just telling the people about the love Jesus has for them your now making them part of it and the crowd will feel more involved. Ask more questions to bystanders. You already do a good job with doing that just would like to see more of the crowd involvement. Have someone help read some scriptures that are relative to your message of the day.
Hi brother Joe I really appreciate how well organized and not confrontational like I hear a lot of street preachers use. I think the story boards are a useful tool when illustrating examples that your using. I think some props occasionally would help for example when discussing the big bang theory you could use a medium size rock and break it into a few smaller rocks and ask someone In the crowd what will come from this rock if I smash it and the answer is smaller rocks. The point is small rocks come from big rocks and a child comes from his father and keep on going down the geneolgy line until you reach God and Adam. Rocks come from other rocks, apes come from father apes, and man comes from God. God said to Jesus let us make him meaning Adam in our image. Here's the answer Joe for the street preaching style. Pray each morning and ask the holy spirit what way would God prefer you to preach the gospel and ask for God to fill you with his holy spirit so the words that come from your mouth are the words of Jesus to bring him the most glory. Let it be in his will and not ours. Brother Joe as long as you stick to that you'll be fine
Hmmm that’s tough because different approaches get to different people but I suppose if I have to pick the approach you should do the majority of the time I’d go with the “chatty” approach. BTW….I just want to applaud you for the work you are doing for the Kingdom! You will be richly rewarded for being such a good and faithful servant! I wish I had your bravery! Keep it up 👍
Hey Brother. I want to say God bless you firstly! Umm I think we should just let the spirit lead us whenever we preach open air. Both are good because they get the message out there but the chatty approach fostersore engagement. In the end it's not by our power or oration but by the Spirit.
I think there is a time for both, and that is why we can't do anything without the spirit. Seek His Spirit and you will be equipped with the appropriate message.
