  1. You know once upon a time there were there was no industry and there was no welfare how did people possibly survive? Of course people have the ability to grow their own food and to build their own shelter and for some reason we've just deemed that as an unacceptable way to live the fact is that it's not it's the way most of humanity has lived through all of history why not incentivize that rather than incentivized oh here's some free money now you can buy some stuff which I've got news for you will then create massive inflation

  2. People make some really uneducated fundamental mistakes about understanding the effect of automation on the economy. It makes no difference to the economy whether automation is your automation is the streamlining of being able to make textiles like we did in the twenties or if automation is a robot arm painting reciprocating saw blades like we do now it has the same effect on jobs in the economy. So automation as it pertains to employment and the economy has been happening since forever anything that has made work more efficient usually eliminates some of the mundane labor it mundane labor from a particular industry. I think now we're freaking out because we see a robot and we sort of see that differently not as an increase in efficiency but as a one robot replacing 1 or even more people. However economically it's just not the case
