A lot of people have negotiated with God in the Bible, such as Ezekiel in the fourth chapter of Ezekiel. In fact, as you'll read in this fourth chapter of Ezekiel, God commanded Ezekiel to do something and Ezekiel told God no. But he also told God why he was refusing His command and God allowed Ezekiel to do something different. Hannah the mother of the prophet Samuel in 1 Samuel chapter 1. Peter in the book of Acts chapter 10. Job did it also. The apostle Paul did it when his was about to be wrecked in Acts 27. James encourages it in the book of James 5 beginning at verse 13, where he references another negotiator – Elijah the prophet.
