The First Letter of Clement is a patristic letter written by St. Clement I of Rome to the Christian church in Corinth around 96 CE. It is considered an important piece of patristic literature and was regarded as Scripture by many early Christians. We believe the words written thousands of years ago should still be echoed today.

Great letter to read.
Just finished reading this, and Yikes!!! The ha avoth book is a nice addition to the Word
1st Clement was actually written abt 68-70 AD and unfortunately , the later editions of it were altered to say that Paul died a martyr in Rome . It's actually more likely that he died of natural causes in Spain . Go to "early Christian writings" , there you'll find this :

5:5)"Through envy Paul, too, showed by example the prize that is given to patience:

5:7)and having preached righteousness to the whole world, and having come to the extremity of the West, and having borne witness before rulers, he departed at length out of the world, and went to the holy place, having become the greatest example of patience."
