We most definitely are going to war with China because of the Thucydides Trap. History has proven that because of this, war is inevitable with them.
Maybe if we help the Chinese fight COVID right now we can earn their respect. I really think this is an opportunity to help them and maybe end some of the friction with China. We should make a good trade to get them the Moderna booster shots and they can leave Taiwan alone and make a rational deal.
Their knock off mRNA vaccine is only 60% effective while Moderna is 97% effective. We can hook you up dude. And, oh and bring back that nice old man you threw out of the room. Shame on you! I thought Chinese respected their elders.

Late to the video. Very late😅
My thoughts:
1: China doesn’t want a hot war with the US.
2. China will try to weaken the US through other ways. Economy, technology, pharmaceutical, information…
3. The US would want to stay at the top of world by any way necessary. It has seen the rise and fall of the UK and definitely doesn’t want to become it.
4. Will China evolve politically to be more democratic in the future? We saw a glimpse of it in the early 2000s and that’s when Chinese economy started booming. Chinese people definitely want more freedom.
5. The US has wargamed many times but mostly failed on attacking China at its mainland.
6. China does not have the power to invade the US. It will take forever to catch up.
So I don’t believe there will be a hot war between the two nations. But an isolated war like Taiwan is possible some years later.
