  1. Sorry, but you are wrong in your exegetical interpretation. Nice try, though. Christ was crucified on Wednesday – then literally in the tomb for 3 days -3 nights – resurrection took place sometime after 6pm on Saturday. You need a better understanding of the Old Testament scripture and the nature of the Jewish high sabbath as it applies to Holy Week.

  2. 1. sunset Thursday to sunset Friday is day one. 2. sunset Friday to sunset Saturday is day two. 3. sunset Saturday to sunset Sunday is day three. WAIT A SECOND. Jesus was not in Satan's grip on Sunday ! This explanation is not valid.

  3. This teaching is false brother Doug, no offense to you. Christians need to stop blindly accepting the story that Constantine devised and reject the traditions of men. God prophesied very clearly that Jesus would enter our history in the 4th millennium when he created the sun on the 4th day of the week. This was testified by John as well. Then, as he was dying on the cross on the 4th day of the week (Wednesday), the sun went black proving that Wednesday was the day of his death, the exact same day of the week that he created the sun! 3 days and 3 nights from the time he was put into the grave, he rose, which was on the 7th day of the week — THE SABBATH! No where in scripture does it say that Jesus rose on the first day of the week. Even if you were to interpret Mark 16:9 to suggest this, it is only one (so called) "witness" and you need two to confirm a matter. Jesus is Lord of the sabbath. Just as he rode into Jerusalem on the sabbath as the lamb of God to be slain, he rose again on the sabbath having won the victory over death and he will return again on the sabbath, this time as the Lion of the tribe of Judah to rule and reign. This is significant because it prophesies that, we too, will be raised to rule and reign with Jesus for his millennial reign (or millennial 7th day sabbath – see Hebrews 4:6-11). To believe in a Sunday resurrection (1st day of the week or 8th if you prefer) would place our resurrection after the millennial reign prophetically, which simply does not fit the types and shadows of scripture. What will happen on the 1st day is (in the same way Satan deceived Eve in the 1st millennium of history), Satan will be let loose (during the 1st 1000 year period) after the millennial reign of Jesus to deceive the nations that have repopulated the earth during the millennial reign of Jesus. The only resurrection that takes place after that is the resurrection of the dead, who are judged and thrown into the lake of fire. Don't be in the second resurrection, be in the first where there is no death!
