What has happened with Aljo is a really good example of how telling the truth is simply not always the best choice. I'm not hating on him, I would have probably done the exact same thing in his position. He was going to lose that fight, problems with preparation meant his cardio wasn't there; anyway, it would have taken him a long time to get back to that title (if he ever managed to) and Jan presented him with a golden opportunity for another crack at it with a better camp and more knowledge of the fighter they were up against – all he had to do was lie and pretend to be much more hurt than he was- he lied. A moment of dishonesty has invaluably helped his career, legacy, finances and entire life. Just find that quite interesting, dunno about you guys.

I have a neck injury too they are such weird injuries and it really sucked for my wrestling career because how hard training is on your neck so I feel his pain
