Well done Joe. To all who call upon Christ, salvation is freely given, but like anything in life, if we don't apply what we've been given we might as well not have it. "A repentance that doesn't change you in life, cannot save you in death either." – J. D. Greear. Nothing and no one can pull someone out of the right hand of God (Jesus Christ) once they have been saved, but people can still walk out themselves, so it is important not only to desire salvation, but to detest sin. Sin torments the God who dies to save us, and when you know that, sin breaks your heart, and whatever it is you are doing that is breaking the heart of the one who poured out his heart for you upon the cross will become detestable. Ask and ye shall receive, seek and ye shall find, knock and it shall be opened unto you. Don't just reach for God because of what sin does to you, but because of what it does to Him, so that with opened hands not only will you receive his grace, but you will hold onto it with everything you have.
Joe handles atheist very well, this man is truly anointed by God.
"Jesus died to redeem humanity of our sins". A blood sacrifice was needed you say. Errr, sure. God is almighty, so why is a blood sacrifice needed. That makes 0 sense. He could snap his fingers and achieve the same thing without sacrificing anything. He could bend the rules he himself imposed at any moment effortlessly, he could literally appear to us and make himself known right now, he could stop natural disasters, he could come back and fix all the stupid things the Bible says (women are inferior, slavery is okay, it's fair for children that mock bald men to be eaten by bears…)
Just ask yourself. Had you been born in ancient Greece, what would you believe. In a god that had not yet been invented… Or in Zeus and the rest of shape-shifting horny gods of the Greek pantheon. You were born into Christianity so you believe that's right, but I invite you to think critically and put yourself in the shoes of someone born 10K years ago. Where was your god then? Ah right, not yet invented.
On the existence of God: something cannot come from nothing-> in the beginning there was something, not nothing-> there must have been a first object. What are the characteristics of the first object? 1. the first object must never have started(since nothing came before it to start it). 2. the first object must have been self-sustaining(there were no other objects to sustain it in the beginning. 3. the first object must be creative, it must create(otherwise nothing else would have come into existence. So, there existed a first object that never started, is self-sustaining, and is a creator(Prime Creator)
