I wish I lived off the land, and I wish I worked hard to do honourable work, but I am stuck in the belly of the beast and in the modern world. I think we have all been far, far removed from a life of true social cohesion and love. Every time I leave my house, and go to work, a part of my soul leaves with me. This is why new jerusalem must come soon, otherwise how will we remain pure or righteous in such a world? I don't understand how to live in this. The only thing I have is hope.
Thank you for sharing. I always wondered why every time I did something wrong I would get punished. And others would literally get away with murder. Doesn't a good father correct his children by punishment. Thank you Jesus that you never gave up on me.
7:40 "empty things are for the empty, and full things are for the full" reminds me of what Jesus said in Matthew 25:29 and Luke 19:26
I only came to Jesus a couple of years ago but I'm seriously beginning to doubt this is real.
I mostly just have to go on how God has acted in my own life (which hasn't made me trust Him very much) and what I see in others.
Like I look at American Christianity and I see people who can recognize why Catholicism is wrong or see false churches like Bethel, but dont look at America and think a country with pagan statues and images of goddes like Libertas and Themis on courthouses and all of these foundational philosophical doctrines are mixture of greco-roman thought and humanism is somehow Christian. People believe all of this myth and propaganda and believe it all comes from God and treat you like you're the evil one and that its sacrilegious and blasphemy to even say this. It's like some sort of mixed religion of politics and Christianity.
I used to believe that there were multiple occult explanations for reality (most of which involved a malevolent demiurge and beings and archons and that we were enslaved to and our suffering was used as energy and religions were forms of control to ensure the continuance of oppressive systems and suffering) and now I'm starting to believe it's true again because Christians support these systems of suffering, God doesnt seem to mind all of this stuff going on within his own supposed body and doesnt seem to offer any sort of visible escape as far as I can see.
