Mike: I would challenge you on the US as mystery Babylon. Read Revelation 17 and 18 again. I think of Babylon mainly as a spirit not tied whole to any one locale, but we are talking here about a real physical place destroyed in one hour, and for anyone who believes we are in the very last days, that is to say that Jacob's Trouble is upon us and not still another 200 years off, there is no way there is any other place in the world but America that could be the city described there. Consider the ports in New York and on the West Coast. If you ever saw Spielberg's War of the Worlds that opens with Tom Cruise working with receiving in these containers of good received there every day, the goods and luxuries imported into this country are staggering. No other country consumes the those luxuries like we do. We consume everyone else's stuff. We produce almost nothing. What is our chief export? It's immorality! I challenge anyone to propose any other country who even comes close to the city described there. You won't find one. so if you say that America is not the harlot than I would say then your saying the tribulation is still afar off because some other country will have to rise to our level of providence to fit that prophesy. God will cause these nations who have a love-hate relationship to wipe us out in a single hour.
