Joe, i have a friend who is clinically depressed. he's been rejected by so many people out of his appearance and behaviour (being depressed), he said to me that he cannot believe in God, because he didn't see God's love in christian (christians rejected him often, i), and God did nothing to help him out of his depression. i know i'm asking in the wrong forum but i guess i'm just desperate. he's been through therapy and counselling session but none of them works. he suffers in God's hand is his words. may i ask u to give him some words ? tq very much

Amen! Glory to God
We have set this imagery in our minds that with Christ there is no problems. There is just joy and love and all other good thing you can think of. When the very point of Christianity is to forsake earthly Joy and embrace persecution while in Christ.
Most become Christian because; they want to be free from demonic attacks, they want God's many blessings, They want to be free from hell.
It's great but then, how can you show real Faith? Christ died for our freedom. Freedom from the power of darkness but also Freedom to be able to purely love God. Because of the death of Christ, Our love should be unconstitutional. We didn't do anything for it either.
It's like our focus has been switched. It's like Christ has freed us from every thing and we are still looking to be slave to another.
It's just my thought. You guys could help me out.
