Joe Kirby is an atheist.
He is a Christian. That makes him a monotheist.
Monotheism: the doctrine or belief that there is only one god.
Therefore, he is an atheist to all the thousands of other gods available to believe in.
Simple!
This multiple deity set up allows for this seemingly contradictory theist/atheist position;
believing in a god at the same as disbelieving in another god.
If it was established that there was only one god then things would be different.
Believing and disbelieving in the same deity would be an incoherent activity.
