Also, when he talks about how cigarettes kill people, cancer, etc. It’s important to note one can be asymptotic AND can be transmitted much faster, which trickles down to faster deaths. Just saying.
While I want the country to reopen and go back to how things were…I just don’t know if it’s possible. For example what about those who aren’t the targeted demographic (sick and elderly)-they’ll now have to go to work since there’s no protections for many Americans, or what about those who can’t go out to get supplies because they’re in the demographic-or even worse is people (who already aren’t taking precautions) getting mixed in with people who show asymptotic symptoms (and who may or may not take the precautions) who will then spread it to others, or what about the supply chains (not just the food supply chains) that will directly/indirectly spread….there’s just a lot of other things to consider. Yes small businesses are suffering but if they were set up to be protected for a health crisis, I’m pretty sure most small business owners who are currently vocal about reopening, would not be incentivized to protest. Just my thoughts
2nd wave of covid is going to be so rough… and immune compromised system lol
We could have sustained it if we shut down right away and tested aggressively + contact tracing. We dicked around too much. We could have been up and running and back to work by now.
