All government does is augment problems.. Individual common sense is far superior than the common sense of government authoritarianism.
Yall are literally the ONLY country in this position. Your people are fat and unhealthy, your government is corrupt and shady and 91,000 people are dead while 40 million are unemployed.
Stop watching and start campaigning. Locally. Get the uncontested, untalented and undeserving out of office and start getting involved in making your own communities better.
Cigs are a bad analogy. They did ban smoking in public bc second hand smoking kills.
“On one hand we’ve got this economy that’s tanking and everyone’s about to starve and commit suicide etc. and gee that sure sucks, but on the other hand I feel bad for the old/sick people dying in nursing homes (who were going to die soon anyway and a common cold probably would have snuffed them out) so gee, my bleeding heart just overwhelms my common sense so I guess let’s just keep driving this economy deeper into the ground and see if we can reach rock bottom to save the lives of (mostly) old/unhealthy people who were on the brink of death well before they caught coronavirus.”
