Ordinary people are deluding themselves that Elon Musk and his oligarchical rulers give a shit about their freedoms, opinions or taking care of them. If they were interested in that, they would be doing that already. My feeling is the goal for these power hungry sociopaths is to create a slave race that can be controlled remotely. They would be much easier to govern, obedient and could be worked to death to mint gazillions more cash and used to acquire much more power. Then you don't have to worry about democracy or human rights or revolutions e.t.c.
