  1. How it was taught to me in tech school at the time… the blue messages meant it, yes it was another apple product but it try’s to send those messages through Wi-Fi as a priority. Ever try to send a message on iPhone and it practically fails to send but when you press retry it becomes a green message. That’s because it failed the first send trying to use Wi-Fi and/or data rather than the “direct text message service” which is using at traditional text-to-tower style text message. Yes I understand your data comes from the tower as well but trying to use your data rather than the traditional text service the first time was designed to save you and them money. For a long time it functioned this way, I’d imagine still does to some extent. Todays bandwidth makes the difference between the two types of sending a message practically unnoticeable and pointless. Even in the tech world they do still like the motto “if it works don’t fix it.” I hope this isn’t really confusing. It’s very hard to put it in a simple to the point paragraph explanation.

  2. Apple just works they say. I have given it so many chances over the years, and now i`m almost out of hair. Using my phone alot in work related stuff, there is no way an iPhone could pull it off. It`s weird that iPhone is so polular in the land of the free. Because freedom is far from what you get in the apple universe.

  3. I repaired computers and network hardware for almost 40 years. I can't speak to the phones or tablets. We did iMac's for several years. We had to buy special tools from Apple just to open them. The labor time involved in some of the simplest repairs was ridiculous. We dropped the contract after a few years. Also, a lot of the commercial user base was in the arena of education, arts, and entertainment rather than business as was most of the PC commercial market. A lot of finicky customers. As one of our techs said, "I hate Apple customers and all their cats, too."
