I'm gonna be real, if you think that Christoff is the devil and the lady in red is some sort of Guardian angel, you fell for the meme.
This is a gnostic movie. They believe Satan is the enlightened one who wants to help man kind and God is a crazy tyrant who made us to be slaves and stupid.
Of course they paint the picture that Christoff (The creator of the show) is the bad guy, while the lady in Red (The Enlightener) is the good guy.
Are you guys not making this connection?

I think it's kind of obvious Christoff is playing the role of God.
Of course it's not a perfect Christian perspective of God, this is hollywood. But the connection is there.
Christoff is the Creator, he's everywhere, watching over truman, seeing everything he does. Christoff is the creator of the Dome, and even in the film there's the scene where Truman talks to Christoff and it's a voice coming out of the heavens (Like God) and he says "I AM the creator pause of a TV show"
So it's clear that Christoff is supposed to be the creator of the universe. Even if you think the paradigm is a bit off.
The girl in red IS satan, it's made clear. First of all, she wears Red, she's rebelled against Christoff, and claims "You don't know the truth" She wants truman to be enlightened.
She wants Truman to know the truth and be set free from Christoff.
This is clearly Satan. Satan rebelled against God and enlightened man kind in the garden. This got Satan in trouble and kicked out of heaven, just like the girl in red got in trouble for trying to tell Truman the truth and got kicked off the show.
There are so many little things along the way like when she's under the tree and "Looking upon the north" that are really obvious connections.
The movie is gnostic.
Christoff is the creator, (The God of the Bible) and the girl in red is Lucifer.
Lucifer rebelled against God because he thought he was a "divine tyrant" and he didn't want God to reign over everyone.
The lady in Red rebelled against Christoff because she thought that what Christoff was doing to Truman was unfair.
She then tries to enlighten Truman and gets in trouble for it. Just like Satan enlightens man and gets in trouble for it.
Satan is thrown out of the Heaven, The Lady in Red was thrown off the show.
Christoff says "Truman can know the truth if he absolutely wanted to." But makes every effort against this statement.
Clearly Gnostic.
The age old idea that the Creator is a crazy old tyrant that wants us to be slaves while Satan is the rational one who wants to free mankind from this terrible tyrant.
