When it come the moderen era of MLB… Steroids was starting to grow in the Minor league system of the MLB teams in the late 80's going into the hard 90's, With the likes of Brady Anderson of the Orioles…. When Barry realized he was not getting the Media spotlight love Even with amazing talent, in the Homen run derby era of McGuire and Sosa. He Basically said, "Fuck all of ya'll" As he was not getting any of the media love… He contacted Balco out of the Santa Clara County area… And it went from there… And proceeded to break records… Even though IMHO it is still Hank Aaron's record, not his to own. And yes, back in the 50's and the 60's those guys back then in the MLB… we're taking the "Black Beauties" and loads of caffeine before their games… after lot's hard nights drinking and partying the nights before a game, which back then were played in the daytime, unlike today's games schedules… So Major League Baseball and the players' association turn a blind eye to the behavior in order to increase a player's money contracts and the team's profits.
