One thing that is important to note is that Nebuchadnezzar threatened his wise men with death if they could not tell him the contents of his dream. This story suggest Nebuchadnezzar tells Daniel his dream but Nebuchadnezzar does not tell Daniel the contents of his first dream. This is where Daniel comes into focus…though all the wise men were quaking in fear and ask the King "But how can we know the contents of your dream?" Neb isn't having it and accuses them of fraud…then Daniel realizing he is under threat asked God to tell him Neb's dream. Which God does. And Daniel then told the King that dream. The wise men were killed but Daniel and his friends were spared and Daniel was showered with gifts. Daniel 2-4. This story implies Nebuchadnezzar told Daniel The Dream right off…but that isn't accurate. Also, the second dream where Neb is told he'll live like an animal also includes "The Watchers" or a Heavenly Council that Neb dreams he sees adjudicating him…and the judgment is that he'll become an animal for 7 years. Including the parts this missive does not include. The Watchers are very fascinating. We have very, very little information on them. And most of it is recorded in The Book of Enoch. Nevertheless, who is this heavenly council? Indeed…Neb's story is very unusual. Neb is one of the few Kings and people in The Bible that have anything to do with The Watchers…Let's just say Nebuchadnezzar's dreams were nothing to take for granted!! Just look up The Watchers in say…The Blue Letter Bible web site…read up.
King Nebuchadnezzar was full of pride and he did not recognize that the TRUE AND LIVING GOD IN HEAVEN gave him the kingdom. he believed he got it on his own. so since he did not recognize GOD, his kingdom was taken away from him and he was made to eat grass like the ox and grew feathers like the eagle until he knew the MOST HIGH GOD reigns. GLORY TO THE TRUE AND LIVING GOD. HALLELUJAH AMEN
