You weren’t alone, Michael. Check out Yong’s bakery. Although Houston doesn’t have the most Koreans the city is if not the first most diverse city in the nation it is up there. Koreans are late to migrate over anyways because of the Korean War, poverty and wasn’t there a law passed in 69 that allowed Americans to marry foreigners. Most half Koreans born in the 70s and 80s have the same background (mom korean and dad military.) we’re byproducts of war. I grew up in Texas and got more positive feedback than negative. I’ve lived in Korea and experienced the opposite.
