It is rather ironic how many Christians today complain about how Christ has been taken out of Christmas – how it has become a holiday for corporations to sell products and the meaning has been completely lost. These uniformed individuals do not realize Jesus was never the reason for the season in the first place. And, we can debate as to whether Jesus was a real person or not, but anyone with factual knowledge of this subject would likely agree that if he existed here on Earth today, Jesus would not want any association with this holiday.

The rich giving presents to the poor at Christmas? How much more fitting is this? So many customs and creations are taken over and adapted we have no memory of our true history. Especially when evidence of said customs is burnt and vilified! Where is the enlightenment in that ? Peace! π

I would also think if Jesus was here today how sad he would be to know how many have been forced into Christian faith back in the day. How many indigenous people and others put into slavery, and others have been slaughtered in the name of Christ. Because it was in the Bible and was used as the basic idea why one could own another human as a slave. How many lands have been found and taken over so the word could be spread, back in the day. Granted it isn't common now sense all the land is occupied by significant forces of diff governments. But it makes one think. How could countries go to other lands and take over in the name they needed to spread the word of Christ. But considering Christ was trying to let others know they made a new religion from old religions. With the parable about wine skins. The actual message seems to be made into something totally opposite.
