I guess 2 more thoughts. Remember that the ceremonial sabbaths and all their attendant rules about feasts associated with with them all were types pointing to the great antitype- Jesus Christ. Paul said essentially keep them if you want but don't make them issues of doctrine or salvation. They prefigured and represented the Messiah's life and passion. This makes Colossians2:16 and 17 have a whole new meaning different from the commonly believed one. These holy days and sabbath days, (not The Sabbath), were "shadows" of "things to come"- the great and glorious gift of the Son of God on our behalf.
One more thought. Exodus 31:13 says sabbath is a sign between God and His Israel, which Paul says is us. The Hebrew for sign is "oth" which has several other meanings one of which is mark. So keeping and honoring the sabbath is a sign to ourselves and others that we recognize and accept the authority of God as creator and lawgiver. We then are proclaiming to one and all we are marked as God's faithful children. There is another mark to be gotten, or avoided at all costs, that likely also has to do with to whom is the authority give in our lives?
It says numerous times in order to enter the kingdom of heaven you have to be baptized in water and receive the Holy spirit

Listening quite awhile later, but I feel pretty isolated where I am in life, especially with my husband not being a believer. It’s pretty challenging, as I want to submit to him and be a good wife, but we are constantly struggling and arguing.
I just continue to pray and do what I can, how I can!
