  1. People like Rhonda Patrick come from mega cities, probably having a comfy (maybe boring?) life.

I don't think she will ever understand how strongly the Sauna culture are rooted to the Finnish people.

    Greets from Sweden,🇸🇪🤝 🇫🇮🌤🌾

  2. Actually Joe, the reason why we do not use any clothes in sauna is more about hygiene. Clothes collect all sorts of germs (specially when you sweat) and they get in to the saunan lauteet (boards, the wooden seats) and because we use sauna one or twice in a week, we don´t like to wash them all the times with soaps, only nicely clean them with shower water, and that´s how we get to keep them in good condition for years.
It´s also about the ritual it self… Sauna is not just for cleaning your self but also for relaxing and forgetting the earthly worries. And when you get to talk "serious" with the guys, there is no bullshit in it when you can see other mans junk… they are all the same, and not so big as they claim or think… 🙂
And one more detail about old days in sauna. Lady´s use to use little peace of pine under them when they had a period, it was called "pillunpäre or vituke" pussy shingle…
It was made separately for woman´s own shape and it usually change color in use of time and also for stopping for deceases like "hammaspillun" access to reproductive organs… 🙂
