As a Finn i can say there's absolutely nothing sexual about being naked in the sauna. The sauna is usually 80-90 degrees celsius. And yes, we are all naked in there. It's a very important piece of culture to us.
American vs finnish view of sexuality produces these culture shocks in them. It's not like opposite sex strangers just go to saunas naked together on the regular. In everyday life it's a great place to have a few beers with your buddies release stress creates stronger bonds too and the one who thinks there is something sexual about it is the weird one most would think dude is gay when outsiders would think the opposite the dudes in the sauna as gay lol 😂😂
