Scripture states that God will give us a heart of flesh along with a new spirit. Is this new heart then, a heart like God's? I would think so as we also are reborn then with a new spirit that is able to enter Heaven…anyone have some thoughts or insight on this?

For those who don't know…David had 8 wives. His firstborn son was Amnon, by his 3rd wife. Amon received his father's permission to have his half sister, Tamara, attend to him in his chambers. There, Ammon raped her. King David did nothing to punish Amnon…so 2 years later Tamaras true brother, Absolom kills Amnon, then flees from King David's rule. A seer foretold the evil that would fall upon David when he took Bathsheba for himself and had her husband killed when he sent him to the front lines of war! None of this includes son Solomons fate. We know David's house was completely divided and torn apart. I'm not at all sure what the Lord saw in him except accountability for his repeated adultery and other sins.
