A few months into being born again, the Holy Spirit convicted me on listening to secular music. I used to love it, but once I realized the music was negatively influencing me, I realized it didn’t benefit me spiritually to listen to it any longer. Now, I am so much happier without worldly music! This goes for a lot of things; if it doesn’t benefit me in my walk with God, I should be far away from it.

💯True that it is not sin to listen to secular music, however I believe it more often will lead to sin.
I rem as a young believer asking my then spiritual authority the same question and he said 'it depends on the spirit of the musician' and overtime this has become evident.
I hardly deliberately listen to secular music and the times I can't help it (coz I'm in a public area where it's being played like the supermarket) I've noticed it takes me back to my past life& ignites the flesh😂
Music is spiritual and affects the soul, I choose to listen to& sing music that glorifies God❤
