I do believe that the Bible tells us to go to church and I haven’t got a problem with that.
Unfortunately we have been part of 3 different churches the past 5 years and everytime it didn’t work out.
It feels like they are like spiders,they smoothtalk you and really grip your heart with good sermons and then the true colours appear and it is all about prosperity and money.
At one church they even want to chase away people that don’t give them enough money!!
They want to do that but they themselves support charity very weakly.
Ive just recently went back and embrace our Lord Jesus Christ as my saviour. Ive been lost for a long time and I havent joined a church because I can see a congregation who teaches the real word of God. Most of them either focus on selfishness and how their church can earn from donations. Do I need to belong to a specific congregation? Or is it enough that I pray and belive Jesus Christ as my saviour and salvation? Please help me find the right path.
I remember how much of a struggle it was for me to go to Church when I started going back. I would be there one day, and then not be there for a whole month. Now? Now I go every Sunday, I brought my girlfriend with me and she found Christ. Going to Church, especially one that preaches the scripture in its entirety and truthfully, is most certainly one of the most important aspects of a Christian Walk. When you become friends and close with the members of your Church that is God giving you a fellowship that you might not get if you don’t go to Church. It gives you people to walk with towards Christ. One thing I learned from my pastor was this, I was a hard line political conservative that had bought into the hate for people who were left leaning, but he taught me something about that. Yes what they say and do is wrong, but why should I be judging and condemning them instead of trying to bring them to Christ so God can help change them?
