I’m a 71yo Veteran and I broke my neck fracturing C3 and C4 while on active duty . I also had 2 lumbar vertebrae crushed. After surgery the lumbar vertebrae were replaced and it kinda worked. My neck has caused me pain ever since. I started receiving meds for pain. After a few years it wasn’t working. The VA ultimately started prescribing me morphine. After a few years of that they decided I should wean off. Over a 3 month period I went from 120 pills per month to 0 pills a month. I ended up on heroin to feel better. I sadly did that for a year and a half until I finally was fed up with everything in my life. So I went on a methadone program. Now in 2024 I’ve been clean for 7 years and have no desire ever to do any pain drugs ever again. Now I’m trying to save a good friend from destroying himself. I became friends with this guy because he was my drug dealer.
I was in a motorcycle accident at 65. Horrible pain even now. I've been on both pills. When i ran out for a week i didn't withdraw!!! Take what's needed NOT MORE. Who's fault is withdrawing if u take more then you're told. This is ridiculous!! People in long pain 😪 recovery 💔 Tell them how they took MORE then they were told.

Why would anyone trust or believe the pharmaceutical industry. Its an industry based around profits above all else.
Yea big pharma took away the only meds (I never abused) to manage MY PAIN. Such bullshit
