While you were growing up with your younger brother, Abel, you was hard-hearted and tried to rule over him. Often when your father made an offering to God, you would remain behind.
When Satan told you, your parents loved your brother more and that you should kill him so that you need not marry Abel’s twin sister; Satan’s words, you kept in your heart.
When Adam asked you to make offerings to God, you were reluctant and took the smallest of your sheep. God did not accept your offering because your heart was full of murderous thoughts.
As you walked your brother to bless the fields and flocks, you told him you love him. But you hit him with your staff repeatedly until Abel said “take one of these large stones and kill me outright."
When the blood of Abel fell on the earth, the earth trembled. You dugged a pit to bury him, but the ground would not receive him; but it threw him up at three times. “The muddy ground threw him up the first time, because he was not the first creation; and it threw him up the second time and would not receive him, because he was righteous and good, and was killed without a cause; and the ground threw him up the third time and would not receive him, that there might remain before his brother a witness against him”.
Cain, you were only 15 and Abel was 12. You went to your mother and beat and cursed her, and said to her, "Why are you planning to take my sister to wed her to my brother? Am I dead?" And because of this you listened to Satan’s words and killed your brother.
God said to Cain "Cursed be the ground that has drunk the blood of your brother." God was not seeking to kill Cain with the sword, but He sought to make him die of fasting, and praying and crying by hard rule, until the time that he was delivered from his sin.
God said to Cain "I will put seven punishments on anyone who kills Cain," And the seven punishments are the seven generations during which God awaited Cain for the murder of his brother.
