The wtiting was bad for the most part when it strayed from the book 📖 these modern screenwriters just cannot write.
The only changes that were good was when they whitewashed Alicent's character and made her more complex and sympathetic. Otherwise she was the evil stepmother trope, too similar to Cersei but even worse a one dimensional Cersei.
Also the fact that they made them(former) best friends and implied that Ali had a thing for Rhae, which makes the dance an even bigger tragedy.
I feel like they're not actual fans of the show and do not understand GoT and HotD for what it is. The comment about black people being there in house of the dragons but not in GoT is so irrelevant, and I'm not sure he even watched GoT? It takes 2 episodes in GoT to know that Velaryon does not exist anymore, so when we see them in HotD we know that the house will die eventually (and most probably in the next few seasons of the show).
Also the comment about there not being enough dragons blowing stuff up. If you want to see dragons destroying things aimlessly you can always watch the last season of GoT tbh. If you're only there for the dragons and the spectacle this is not the show for you.

THE SERIES WAS BORING FROM EP5 IT DID NOT MAKE SENSE
