They want Paul out because they don't like what he says. It doesn't fit our modern sinful culture. He tells women to submit to their husbands and be silent in the church. He tells servants to obey their masters. Things would be a lot better if we did take his teaching more seriously. It's the same with Jesus. Nobody takes his teachings seriously. Lusting after another woman is adultery. Turn the other cheek. They blow it off as hyperbole and reduce Jesus down to love as a way to blaspheme and push homosexuality.

Most of the time, you say that you need to find the 2d and 3d witness in the Scriptures. Justin used Scripture to develop his argument, but Zen just pulled out a non canon text to uphold Paul's legit position as personally exalted by Yeshua. Regarding the prick reference, since when does Yah use the script of men to make his point? Find me a 2d witness to that. In Matt 28:16, Yehusua gave the directive to the eleven Apostles to make disciples of all nations. He empowered His Apostles to accomplish that work (Matthew was subsequently elected as the twelfth). As Justin reminds us, Paul is not our Messiah and yet Paul expects to be called "Father." This is not a new idea. Paul's standing as an Apostle has been debated on for awhile. One truth that Justin brought foward is that we will know them by their fruit and Paul is single handedly responsible for the Christian church in Rome. The church we left behind to obey our Messiah. I found Justin's insight compelling.
