Praise the Lord for this wonderful message! The mind is drawn to the sands of time, a time when a king called Nebuchadnezzar reigned. God performed what may be painful to the human eye, but was an enormous blessing. God, through trial, converted Nebuchadnezzar from paganism to Christianity. This blessing will be fully seen when we, through Christ alone, are saved and see Nebuchadnezzar in God's eternal and heavenly kingdom. Daniel 4 is the reference for this comment.
24:44 God didn’t let it happened to Job to teach him or to correct him. The story of Job was to be used to show people that things we can’t comprehend might happen for the will of God to become manifest. Job’s story teaches us to trust in God’s sovereignty no matter what. How would God explain to Job about publishing his story during the days of the internet and airplanes. How people all over the world will read his story when his son will reign after taking the cross????? This is why he emphasized he’s sovereignty instead of giving him a direct reason.
“For great is the might of the Lord, but by the humble he is glorified. Neither seek what is too difficult for you nor investigate what is beyond your power. Reflect upon what you have been commanded, for what is hidden is not your concern. In matters greater than your own affairs, do not meddle, for things beyond human understanding have been shown you.” Sirach 3:20-23 NRSVUE
